Privacy Policy
You own your data. Always.
d-arms program was created to maximally respect your privacy while using it. I have written no code to send data in any means to myself, service I have control of, or any third-party services, entities. I also made careful decisions to use as little closed source components, as can be to minimize the risk of leaking information by third party components. Though, I cannot guaranty those components behave against my will, and this privacy policy.
The only circumstance I collect information, when you specifically send it to my web service as feedback/bug report. The whole content of the data packet sent can be observed by you before sending to me, anonymously. I don't log any additional meta data about this transfer. The bug report data is stored until further processing in Microsoft's Azure (USA) infrastructure, protected by their strong authentication and authorization infrastructure.
The permissions required by the d-arms application are the following, for the explained purpuses:
- Camera:
- To be able to do live barcode recognition (it is done on device)
- Internet:
- To be able to conveniently send bug report in the unlikly event of SW failure
